description - la bienveillante
This magnificent dream house located in a private and secure domain in the North boats panoramic and breathtaking views over the sugar cane fields, the mountains and the sea. This beautiful villa with irresistible charms is a true jewel of colonial architecture, inspired by what was best in "Ile-de-France" in the 19th century.
The idea of this splendid luxury villa is to offer a prestigious and very private corner, with its lush garden and well thought-out living spaces. interiorS
The interior, just like the exterior, was designed in white, symbol of class, purity and also freshness under the tropics. The predominant materials are vintage parket floors, wooden frames from old vessels and polished concrete in the bathrooms for a contemporary look. The atmosphere of the bygone area is felt as you cross the doorstep of the house, the smell of wood and the creaking of the floors will take you back in time.
The house comprises three ensuite bedrooms, including the master bedroom with its own mezzanine under the eaves which can be accessed via a especially-designed spiral staircase. The kitchen area has been tastefully designed in typical "Mauritian Style" and boasts the pantry and a vast cooking area, as well as an outdoor sink. The basement is divided in 2 parts, a large room that can be converted into a sports and games room or as the new owner's taste. The current owners have favoured a large wooden bar, billiards, card games and darts table for the long evenings with friends. The opposite space is dedicated to relaxation, massage and meditation. There's also plenty of spacious and ingeniously organised storage spaces and a guests restroom. This superb colonial house is sold fully furnished and the furniture has been chosen with great taste and ultimate refinement. EXTERIORS
Outside, it's old-fashioned and originally arranged façades made of cut volcanic stones and historic wood. The very well-thought landscaped garden area incorporates a Barbecue corner, a relaxing and soothing lounging area, an outdoor shower and an all-organic vegetable patch.
As you step through the main entrance, you enter an open vestibule leading to an enchanting living room with its chimney which itself opens on a large circular cut-stoned terrace offering breathtaking views over the sugar cane fields, the dramatic mountains and the sea. mauritian diaspora
The house is eligible to Mauritian investors. The Mauritian Diaspora Scheme initiated by the government has been set up with a view to attract members of the Mauritian Diaspora back to Mauritius to participate in the economic development of the country. Coming back to Mauritius has never felt so good!
